THE GIFT. Militant students under the banner of the League of Filipino Students (LFS) burn a cake effigy, their retirement gift for Maj. General Jovito “The Butcher” Palparan. Incidentally, September 11 is a day to remeber for Gen. Palparan and the LFS, the former is celebrating his birthday while the latter is commemorating its founding anniversary.
