In the article “Kalinga farmers reaffirm opposition to hydro power project” published on July 30, 2017, it was stated that “The position paper was made to counter the letter to the Sanguniang Panlungsod of Tabuk submitted by an alleged Minanga Indigenous Cultural Community seeking endorsement from the City Legislative to pursue the UTHP which was rejected in 2002.” The project was rejected by the city council in 2012, not in 2002. Our apologies.#

In the story AFP troops out of our land—Uma folk published in our September 11, 2016 issue, it was reported that a teenage boy was traumatized after a soldier pointed his gun at him on August 17. The incident happened on September 3 and not August 17 as reported. ­­— Ed

Correction on the issue June 12, 2016 in the article entitled “CPA supports release of political prisoners”, paragraph 2 should read “In the Cordillera region, there are at least seven political prisoners languishing in jails for crimes they did not commit. Three are currently detained in Kalinga, two in Mountain Province, and three in Ifugao namely Rene Boy Abiva, Virgilio Corpuz and Freddie Maguiho, while a fourth one, Modesto Hanggoy was released earlier on bail,” and not “2 political prisoners in Ifugao”. #
