We call on Supreme Court to intervene and declare this law unconstitutional before it causes irreparable damage to established norms of legal processes in our society,” said Drs. Reginaldo Pamugas and Darby Santiago of HAHR, a Quezon City-based non-government organization composed of doctors and health professionals. “This law just brings us back to the dark ages of Martial Law when political repression and rampant human rights violations by state forces (the AFP, PC, and Metrocom) were ordinary everyday events.” Dr. Pamugas adds.
