STREET ART FOR HUMAN RIGHTS. Baguio artists and human rights advocates readied Session Road for the International Human Rights Day on Sunday, December 8. Members of the Dap-ayan ti Kultura iti Kordilyera, Sulong Likha, Cordillera Peoples Alliance and Cordillera Human Rights Alliance (CHRA) created chalk art urging the public to defend human rights and unite for just peace. The activity aims to enjoin the Baguio folks and visitors to participate in the upcoming anniversary commemoration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10. According to CHRA, Philippines has become “the worst place for human rights defenders under Duterte with more 293 extra-judicial killings of activists, 429 frustrated EJKs, 11 enforced disappearances and 3,229 illegal arrests and detention.” #nordis.net
