CSC-CAR recognizes outstanding public servants

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet (Sept. 28) — The regional Civil Service Commission (CSC–CAR) recognized outstanding public servants in the Cordillera with fitting ceremonies at the Hotel Supreme, here.

Leading the awardees is a group of researchers, also Lingkod Bayan Awardee (Group Category), for their work on the Development of Potato and Sweet Potato Varieties for the Cordillera of the Benguet State University. The group was earlier conferred the award at the Cultural Center of the Philippines on September 19, with 23 other awardees nationwide. The group is the lone national winner from Cordillera to the Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees, the most prestigious civil service awards conducted annually by the Commission.

Lingkod Bayan awardees receive a gold (gilded) medallion, a plaque containing the citation and signature of the President of the Philippines & cash award of P100,000.

Other awardees during the regional recognition program are finalists to the annual CSC Search: Dr. Belinda A. Tad-awan, a BSU professor; SPO4 Mercedes M. Garcia, a Baguio City policewoman; Janet P. Armas, a social worker in the regional social welfare office; Norma D. Bustarde, a Baguio City elementary master teacher; Lilibeth B. Martin, a medical technologist of Abra and the Social Hygiene Clinic, Health Services Office’s Dr. Celia Flor Brillantes, Jeannie Cecilia Boquiren and Christopher Hortaleza.
