Lakbayan ng Pambansang Minorya: Salubungan sa Mendiola

On October 13, more than 3,000 national minorities that include indigenous peoples and Moro from Luzon, Vizayas and Mindanao gathered at Morayta in Manila City and marched to Mendiola as part of their national caravan for self-determination and just peace.

Medical Mission (San Juan, Abra)

HEALTH FOR THE PEOPLE. Community Health Education Services Training in the Cordillera Region (Chestcore), Medical Outreach Missions Foundation, Inc (MOMFI), and Luke Foundation through Kakailyan Salakniban Tay Amin a Nagtaudan (KASTAN) in partnership with the Local Government of San Juan, Abra consulted atleast 420 residents of Baranggay Nangobongan, Culiong, and Abualan San Juan Abra during the Medical Mission last July 21-23,2016.

Health sector’s unity walk for meaningful change (Baguio City)

Around 100 Nurses, Student Nurses, and Health Workers participated in the Unity Walk for Meaningful Change today, July 3, 2016. The Unity Walk for Meaningful Change was a concerted effort of Philippine Nurses Association CAR and Baguio Chapter, ADPCN and Alliance of Health Workers. The activity was a show of support for the Duterte’s administration vow to end contractualization.

Students walk-out vs neo-liberal education

Students from the University of the Philippines-Baguio (UPB), University of the Cordilleras (UC) and Saint Louis University (SLU) walked-out of their classes to protest the yearly increase in tuition and other miscellaneous fees as well as the rising cost of education. This protest is part of the national coordinated action against neo-liberal education.
