Area and sectoral situationers
October 20, 2005 in general, situationers
Still another potentially useful function that can be served by this blog is for Internet users from the various areas (regions, provinces, districts, towns or cities) and sectors (labor, farmer, fisherfolk, youth-student, women, IPs, migrants, etc) of NL to post update reports and discussion points about their current situation and issues. Others could comment on previous entries, if not post their own entries. Of course, blog users could also comment on articles contained in the Nordis website. Hopefully, the various threads of entries and comments will greatly help the Nordis network do its work better in serving the grassroots media needs of the people of NL.
dir pipol,

Mga participants nitong Dialogue for life!
Mga ibat-ibang facilitators ng programang ito!
Kay Sr. Dulay na nagpasimuno nitong programa!
Good luck also for your theological reflections in the future
hi Pp0l!!!
Hi Noel!! promise padala ko cd within this February….Mabuhay Kayong Lahat!!!
Cool! I totally support the idea of Organic farming! way to go people! Mr. Abela hit it really hard!
tej
art,
good sermon by the prime bishop about large scale corruption within the philippine government system. the bishop also made comments about the leaders of the nation having been educated in almost christian educational institutions. i just wonder if the board of trustees of easter college have picked up the message and drafted a school resolution to support the prime bishop’s message and therefore lead the way in pursuing the mission of being a genuine “christian institution?” in this way, we can see a strong collaborative action in bringing about social justice, and para naman may kaunting hope amidst the bleak image of the philippines as a christian nation. maybe dis can also be incorporated to their mission goals as institution as they travel another 100 years of being a christian institution of good education. anong say mo?
pupils and students should not be obliged to join the flower festival, if dey are so, then it becomes an abuse to children and vulnerable young pipol. we already have the stampede in manila to reflect upon. huwag nang ulitin sa baguio city. balitang balita na sa buong mundo nakakahiya. bakit kasi ayaw magbasa ng biblia yang mga namumuno sa flower festival at mga taga dep Ed na yan kasi sabi sa banal na kasulatan: “suffer not the little children to come to me, said the Lord” and not to the flower festival, o di ba? ibig sabihin nito, turuan ang mga batang maging mga mabubuting mamamayan, makadiyos at makatarungan at hindi upang maging mga batang lansangan at iye expose ang mga vulnerable na mga katawan sa mga ganid na mga turista!
Unsolve robberies sa probinsya!why not check those guys in cudog, maybe they took a vacation on their activities in the cagayan region or why not check the owners of the big houses in cababuyan.ever wonder why some guys there got some money for those big houses.jjjust wonderingggg
Halo Tej,
Ok naman ako dito sa Cordi. Nageenjoy sa pagiging journalists at teacher at the same time. I am very much affected with the situation, eg econ crisis ha ha. Pero sino ba ang hindi. I would like to ask your particular interest on issues. I’ll try to write about it if given the opportunity. Please communicate regularly. Your comments, whether positive or negative, sa mga stories ng Nordis. By the way, taga ka saan ka pala? If you are interested with national issues, you can visit also Bulatlat.com.
Halo Anghel,
Kumusta ka?
Your right, the Prime Bishop message is very challenging. However, I suggest that you send your suggestion to the Easter BOT. I know they will appreciate that. Susuportahan kita, especially to institute it for its next 100 years tasks.
By the way, please feel free to send your interest on issues, including your positive and negative comments sa stories ng Nordis.
If you would not mind, ay tagaano ka? Anyway, salamat unay sa message.
Halo tej,
My second sentence should read: Nageenjoy ako sa pagiging journalist at miyembro sa journalists group at the same time as teacher. Thanks ulit. I’ll try to proofread my message before sending it ha ha ha. Sige
Easter College? Tama ang sinabi ni Anghel. Alumni ako ng Easter, how I wish I was taught relevant issues.
halo art,
u asked: “tagaano ka?” to me, i say, it is enough that we know each other especially when i was still in baguio and the mining areas! if you remember those days when grasya was still alive and kicking with offices in session road, and reccord dat clfp (kasi taga church sector ako dati). Speaking of church sector, i was really moved by the news about pepe before, may he rest in peace! yes, certainly i will be communicating to nordis with the positive and negative comments in the future, thank you.
mabuhay kayo lahat dyan sa nordis.
Hi Noel!!

BAGUIO JUDGE JAILS CABLE FILM PIRATE
Baguio City, May 20, 2001 – Charged with ten counts of violating a provision of the decree on Intellectual Property Rights, a businessman from Baguio City has been found guilty on all counts by the Regional Trial Court.
In his final decision, Judge Antonio Reyes sentenced the accused, Macky Magpili, to suffer, for each count, a prison term of six (6) months, and for each count, to pay a fine of P150,000.
Filed by the Motion Picture Anti-Film Piracy Council headed by Atty. Esperidion Laxa, the said case was the result of a surveillance by NBI operatives on the illegal activities of the cable television company, Northwire and Cable Communications Corporation (Northcomm), being managed by Magpili. The operations, which lasted two days, were recorded in three video cassettes with the ten (10) movies shown illegally on Northcomm channels 11 and 23, namely: “Manila Girl,” “Alyas Baby Ama,” “Reputasyon,” “The Preacher’s Wife,” “Three Ninjas,” “Bounty Hunters,” “The Adventures of Pinocchio,” “Ang T.V. the Movie: Ibong Adarna,” “Nagmumurang Kamatis” and “Aringkingking.”
“This is a positive sign in our campaign against film piracy,” says project officer Emerito San Buenaventura. “At least, the public is now aware that we, in the council, are dead serious in putting all violators behind bars. We just hope that soon we’ll catch what is termed as big fish no matter how powerful he or she is. When it’s done, the film industry will surely flourish again.”
Atty. Laxa issued to the media the council’s monthly report for March 2001 containing the number of video outlets inspected and illegal items seized by the Task Force led by Chairman Leonardo Monteverde and his deputy, Ferdie Paz.
In its summary details, more than 20,000 copies of pirated VCDs and CDs and numerous equipment were seized from about 300 establishments raided in Metro Manila and the provinces.
i would like to comment on the feature where chester stone batnag won an award from the title of the feature “Viusually Impaired …….” it is very true that chester “blindpoet” is a regular contributor of the idle times. but it is not true that the Idle Times is produced by the DILG. It is personally produced by yours truly and Rodel Galleto who are presently working at DILG. it is in no way that the DILG (department) as a whole financed, contributed, or anyway has something to do with the Idle Times. i believe assume that an erratum be published regarding the matter the soonest possible time.
thank you and more power.
i would also like to ask anybody out there who has passion for writing anything under the sun, which he/she believes that be of imspiration in one way or another to the reader. you can use any pen name you like, as long as featured articles, poems, literary pieces does not in one way or another hit the government, politics, religion and materials that may hurt the feeling of others. kababasa ko lang po actually un news about kay Mayor Fias-ilon (hindi po Fias-iloy as written in the article) at ako po’y hiyang-hiya dahil ako ay native ng Barlig, MP. I found it so disgusting because it marred our ili with an undeniable corruption. And upon reading it, I wanted to deny that he is our kailian, and the fact that he is my uncle. I almost puked.
This is a NATION WIDE problem hindi lang Manila o Baguio. The future of our youth depends on them.
Nursing kasi ay perfect science like medicine.
I am reading about suspension of Mayor Yaraon of Baugio City. I am so glad that he is facing his suspension since he harrassed to the parking firm for many years. He is devil with black heart.. I am sooooo glad that he is out and gone.. Jadewell Parking deserves to do business on their own. I am glad..

PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
RELEASE THE RESULTS OF THE NURSE EXAMSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it was very disappointing to know that these people tried to be very selfish by leaking some questions whereas a lot of innocent students will suffer (hopefully not) for what they’ve done. i hope the PRC will be FAIR to this issue…its not quite right to have all the student nurses retake the exam…
hello. about the article on the civilian casualty in besao… it’s the use of the word SPECIES. it is SPECIES with an S, regardless if singular or plural. it is wrong to coin SPECIE. no such
i guess this is a case of seriuos rivalry among the numerous review centers in baguio. admit it or not, other nursing review centers also had leakage to their reviewees. and that’s the truth. i have a clasmate who enrolled in another review center and she told me that most of the NP1 and NP2 questions were their pre- board examination questions. . how’s that huh? tapos ngaun gapuz ang ay kasalanan? makakarma din kayo
I fell in love with a Filipina woman from Cebu City and brought her to the US on a fiancee visa. After I married her I found out she was a manipulative gold digging female. She turned out to be a no good woman and I divorced her six months after I married her. I do not know where she is at this moment but I would like to report her to the authorities because she is living in the US as an illegal immigrant. Please advise, Thank you
musta na po kau?i miss nordis na…hope that we’ll be back soon to visit all of you…

Hello nordis,
“Quoting Lt. Col. Angelito De Leon, commanding officer of the government forces, Basilan said they were tipped by VILLAGERS of the presence of armed men in the village prompting the military to immediately head in the area…” (ALL CAPS, mula sa akin)
recenty, simon naogsan sr. was interviewed and said that he had never had a son who joined the NPA.is there any recent news as to the identity of the slained NPA who was identified as simon naogsan jr. is the news article true or not.
Recommend that the scores of all Nurses examenees of the June 2006 board Examination results be revoked and all EXAMINEES BE REQUIRED TO RE-TEST. This is the only fair and honest thing to do. The Filipino nurses licence should be above reproch.
may i know how destructive is mining. could it be prevented? is there responsible mining as enunciated by CBCP? what are the better alternative options for the philippine economy for the ocw harassed and exploited in foreign shores. should we stop buying jewelries, watches, eyeglasses, clothes, cars, aircon, refs, tv sets, computers, mobile phones, stop riding on ships, airplanes, LRT and MRT transport systems cause it uses mining products. shall we stop buying canned goods, drinks and foods produced by factories that uses irons, steels, etc?
shall we adopt chinese abacus when calculating?
just trying to ponder and reflect on what i uses daily at home, at office and while going to places to relax on vacation.
I appreciate your efforts and sensitivity as to the present status of all forgotten areas of the Northern Philippines. hay naku po, di na nagbabo ang mga tao. Imbag kuma nu year kopong kopong pay lang dita a domeng domeng mabalin amin. han metten a manung! Thanks sa website niyo, kayo ang portal to the world nang bayan ko. Proud to be a kalinga…

P.S. Puwede ba magcontribute ng article?? e-mail me.
yeah… it’s very sad that this contoversy occurs.. i’m a 3rd yr nursing student right now and I must admit that the quality of nursing is really going down.. the quality of nursing school today is not that competent unlike before, maybe it’s one of the reason why the passing rate in the board exam was too low.. future nurses are not that well trained and knowledgeable enough due to unskillful C.I’S or the newly grad C.I.. I think they are not yet prepared and lack experiences to teach and handle nusing students… Based on what i heard Gapus is really a good review center I dont think that this leakages is through,.. maybe it’s their way to motivate their students to pursue in studying… My C.I who had her review in gapus told me before that this leakages was not true, it’s just their way to wake the minds of their students… and I believe that Mr.Gapus is just too intelligent and effective in handling his students, unlike the other review centers who’s passing rate is very low… they’re just envy because they do not meet the standards of providing quality education…=)
