New web offers options for Baguio residents

February 25, 2007 in Baguio City, elections, general

BAGUIO CITY (Feb. 24) — The Raje Bussiness Solutions, Incorporated launched its new website, www.baguiooptions.com last February 23 here where city residents may find profiles of national and local candidates for the 2007 elections.

Jet Mondares, one of the incorporators said his group came up with the website to help Baguio residents come up with choices for the May polls.

He said the site focuses on the elections in the mean time but the website also offers other services such as leisure, fashion, career, education and employment options.

He added that the website would also feature local products, crafts and artworks to promote the city’s rich culture and local talents.

Mondares said the website is not a mere business venture, adding funds generated from political advertisements by local and national candidates are for maintenance alone. He said the cost of web services is far lower than current prices. He also said advertisement rates for national and local candidates are the same at P6,000 for five web pages for the whole campaign period.

“All willing candidates or anybody who wants to sponsor a website for their candidates are welcome as long as they will not post information destroying other candidates. We are a non-partisan group,” he stressed.

Mondares further said the website will carry public service announcements free of charge. He added visitors may post their comments on all issues published in the website.

Mondares is also a volunteer guidance counselor at the Sunflower Children’s Center here. # Kimberlie Olmaya Ngabit-Quitasol for NORDIS
