FIRST PHILIPPINE FLAG. A replica of the first flag under the custody of the General Emilio Aguinaldo Foundation, Museum in Baguio City. The orginal flag was in the personal care and custody of the late First President Emilo Aguinaldo up until before his death in 1946 when he passed it to his youngest daughter Cristina Aguinaldo-Suntay. The original first flag bears the masonically-inspired “mythological sun” a personal and favorite symbol of the late Gen. Aguinaldo as well as the French Revolution inspired ideals of “Justice, Liberty and Equality.” This replica was made by under the supervision of Dean Lydia Arribas of the Universit of the Philippines Dept. of Home Economics.
