BAGUIO CITY — In commemoration of the centennial of the city of Baguio, The Baguio We Know will be launched at National Bookstore, SM Baguio on September 2, 2009 at 6 p.m.
The book is a collection of essays that explore the various manifestations of what it means to be “from Baguio.”
Featured in the volume are the works of Cecile Afable, Pia Arboleda, Tita Lacambra-Ayala, Arnold Molina Azurin, Nonette C. Bennett, Karla P. Delgado, Merci Javier-Dulawan, Priscilla Supnet-Macansantos, Martin Masadao, Baboo Mondoñedo, Padmapani L. Perez, Dinggot Conde-Prieto, Scott Magkachi Saboy, Enrico Miguel Subido, Grace Celeste T. Subido, Rolando B. Tolentino and Anna Christie V. Torres, with a Foreword by Cirilo Bautista.
The volume is the first of two book projects of the Baguio Writer’s Group (BWG) published by Anvil Publishing Inc. A volume of poetry and short fiction is forthcoming.# nordis.net
