Poetry: The life of a devoted journalist
May 27, 2007 in general, literary
By CHERRY ANN NONONG-CALAPIS
There they go, there they go
Off to get the latest scoop
Never to quit, never say no
that’s the life of a journalist.
Ready to inform, ready to tell
Always with a paper and pen
Asks a question, they always yell
Ready for some action again and again.
Assigned to go to Mindanao
they don’t care
Rather than talking to a cow
Now that they care.
In the end, they end up dead
Or even rot in a prison cell
The life of a Journalist, full of action
But not for long once he’s shot dead. #
