BAGUIO CITY – Joint forces of the 24th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army (24th IBPA) and Philippine National Police (PNP) raided the home of farmer Eugine Antonio in Mudiit, Dolores, Abra at 5 AM of October 27.

Twenty-four men, of whom three were in civilian clothes, entered Antonio’s house and served him a search warrant for an M-16 rifle, a .45 calibre pistol and a shotgun he allegedly possessed.

The men, led by a certain Allan Dario, did not find any guns.

Instead, they seized documents belonging to the Mudiit People’s Organization where Antonio is an officer. They took from him the organization’s registration and bylaws among others.

In September, Antonio received vilification and death threats on Facebook after he distributed the calamity fund he received from the Baclaran Church. Besides being a people’s leader, Antonio is also a pastor.

The 24th IBPA accused Antonio of distributing funds to gain support for the New People’s Army. #Norwin Gonzales
