LA TRINIDAD, Benguet — Benguet province is entitled to P100 million worth of road projects for being a recipient of the Seal of Good Governance from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), according to Board member Robert Namoro.
Namoro said local government units awarded the Seal of Good Governance are entitled to acquire funding from DILG’s Kalsada program. “All local governments with the Seal of Good Governance nationwide are given P100 million each for road projects,” he said.
Namoro said P40M will be allocated for the improvement of the Puguis-Buyagan provincial road; P30M fo a portion of Halsema highway connecting to Madaymen of Buguias town and P30 M for the Guinawang-Gambang provincial road.
He said that three roads were identified based of the Provincial Road Network Department Plan (PRNDP) of the province.
In a letter to the provincial board, Governor Nestor Fongwan said that as counter part, the provincial government earmarked P25M for the road projects identified under the PRNDP. # nordis.net
